Abrakadoodle Art Sparks Learning While Building Creative Kids & Strong Minds!

Abrakadoodle is More Than an Art Class!

Abrakadoodle art helps teach our kids about art from around the world, explore a wide variety of art materials, learn new techniques, styles and so much more!

During a recent Abrakadoodle art class our students learned about how we can care for the earth while creating trash cans that smile and sculpting pandas holding flowers! They learned how to create with colorful brush strokes, as boldly painted endangered tigers took shape on their canvases!

Our parents and school leaders recognize Abrakadoodle as more than an art class. They see it as another way to incorporate Literacy, Reading, Math and Character Building into their curriculum. Our art classes often introduce students to math concepts such as symmetry, measurement, geometry, fractions and patterns in the process of designing their art projects. After all, a lot of engineering went into designing those trash cans!

Students learn new vocabulary while following a process that strengthens reading and comprehension skills. They develop both their visual and written storytelling abilities by sharing their work and ideas. Our young artists had a great time crafting imaginative stories about famous landmarks, like the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower, visited by their pandas, all while raising awareness about the unique habitats these animals need to survive.

We know that kids learn best in a fun, social and positive learning environment. While our Abrakadoodle kids giggled over their smiling trash cans, sculpted pandas and colorfully painted tigers, our art classes also nurtured character growth by encouraging self-expression, helping students build confidence as they learn to communicate and share their ideas through art. They cultivate self-discipline by planning their art projects, learn responsibility through proper use and care of materials and foster empathy and respect for the work of others, including their peers and art from diverse cultures. Abrakadoodle is more than an art class!
