Partner Spotlight: Parks & Recreation Are a Natural Fit for Abrakadoodle Art

July is National Parks & Recreation Month, and Abrakadoodle is so pleased to highlight several partner locations this Franchise Friday! Imaginations can truly take flight when you combine a fabulous location with a wonderful enrichment program. Abrakadoodle loves to bring creative art education classes, camps and parties to children at parks and recreation sites. Whether art is enjoyed at inspiring outdoor park settings or within a comfortable indoors recreation space, children benefit from parks & rec partnership programs in which Abrakadoodle can deliver creativity-boosting art.

Abrakadoodle salutes franchise owners who help kids delight in creative art programs in partnership with parks and recreation programs in their respective communities. This week we spotlight Juliana Kenj, Education Director of Abrakadoodle Katy and West Houston, who has a longstanding parks program that has since 2013 been delivering monthly art for homeschoolers and kids ages 2-5 at Willow Fork Drainage District – Central Green at La Centerra. Marianne Daley, Education Director of Abrakadoodle Howard County/Central MD has established partnerships with Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks, as well as Howard County Recreation and Parks to bring hands-on fun summer art camps for Mini Doodlers and Doodlers. With themes like Yummy Art and Under the Sea, kids are having a blast! Stephanie Burke, Education Director of Abrakadoodle Greater Silver Spring hosted a fun camp adventure with the It’s a Jungle Out There theme, which was provided in partnership with Montgomery County Parks and Recreation. Ingrid Burnett, Education Director of Abrakadoodle Delaware has engaged children with imaginative learning in conjunction with Newark Parks & Recreation. Eileen Moore, Education Director of Abrakadoodle PWC is returning this year to participate in the Heritage Festival at Prince William County Forest Park. Last year, participants made Dream Catchers.
